This past month, I tattooed at the Meeting of the Marked 2016 Pittsburgh Tattoo Convention September 9th-11th with a few close friends. I tattooed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Monroeville Convention Center. I was able to design two custom black and grey realism pieces for two great clients and friends of mine shown above. I could not be more grateful for their trust in my artwork, and for them sitting like a rock for about 9 hours while I tattooed them. On Friday, I won Tattoo of the Day with a leg piece designed to represent the struggle of african american women. I also won 3rd place for Best Full Back tattoo. Saturday I did a double exposure of Roberto Clemente and the city of Pittsburgh, including the Clemente Bridge. I also took home 1st place for Best Black and Grey tattoo for a custom half sleeve of The USS Harry S. Truman and some other american imagery.
I was thrilled to have been a part of the Meeting of the Marked convention and to have had so much success. I can’t wait until next year to do it again!
